Signature Style

Todays post was inspired by this post
and encouraged to continue with my post because of this blog.
(Although, being in a rush to get out the door to our Black Hills trip, I do find both of those post much more beautiful then mine... but so it goes)

They are all about your "Signature", whether it is your signature scent or style... we all tend to have a look that is you...

Without a doubt, my signature is a white shirt. That is it!
I love white shirts. 9 times out of 10 I will grab a white shirt to wear.
Either alone or to layer - sweater over, tshirt over long sleeve white, fleece vest over white t shirt, etc. Add bulky jewlery or leave it plain, add a scarf, or throw a button down shirt over the top- the possibilities are limitless. They look great with pants, skirts, shorts and all.

I grabbed a sampling of my shirts here. I no more than took this picture and found 3 more white shirts in my drawer! That isn't counting the 3-4 white blouses in my closet.

The white shirt typically goes on top of either
Levi Signature Series Jeans or tan Columbia pants .~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~
My shoe and bag choice (almost) NEVER match. They are usually chosen for practical reasons vs style - in MN there are only a few nice shoe wearing months. It doesn't work to wear heels in slush (not well anyway!)~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~
This is my stand-by bag. It has a lifetime warranty and serves my needs well. Plus it reminds me of The Boundary Waters and the freedom that comes from being there.~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~
I do have a favorite pair of sandals they too would have to be my signature... as you can see they are terribly worn. Maybe a stop at Cabela's in South Dakota to get help picking out a new pair from my bloggy friend Kacie at Neo-Plains Woman.

As far as my hair. This is the color of the hour.
I returned it back to it's "natural" color for the first time in 9 years.
My hair usually follows my moods:"My real hair color is kind of a dark blonde. Now I just have mood hair." Julia Roberts
~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~
And my house. This sums it up
"A house is a home when it shelters the body and comforts the soul"
Phillip Moffitt

The wall color is a burnt honey color ( which isn't showing well here) It is like being wrapped inside a piece of toast with honey on it...yum.

What is your signature - do tell

My signature would probably be a scent. I wear CoCo Chanel and I love it! People always love the way I smell in CoCo.
I have to laugh about the hair color...I do the same thing. I'm usually blonde as I was always very blonde growing up. I recently went dark...it's a mood, I think. I like that, "mood hair." I always wonder about the expression "Blondes have more fun." People definitely respond differently to me when I'm a blonde. Is it how I perceive myself lighter or is it really the color...I'm not sure. I like your sandals too :)

Signature? Lets just say at the moment it is anything that keeps me warm! Cashmere would have to fall in that category...and make it a turtleneck please ;D

I was so excited about this at first and then I was stumped....could it be that I was in transition and didn't have a current style? I think that after all of these years of spending so much time/effort on the outer image, I'm finally wanting to focus on how I feel! I'll let you know when I know....how I feel! Ha!
