The End of a Story

The world is a sadder place this morning. Paul Harvey has passed away.
If you don't know who Paul Harvey was, then you must have never turned on a radio.

Paul Harvey was a steadfast in my life. Listening to him is part of my earliest memories (or actually getting in trouble for not being quiet so my parents could listen)

Paul Harvey is such a steadfast in this area, that listening to The Rest Of The Story was a legitimate excuse for being a few minutes late back to work from lunch.

He will be missed.

"I just can't wait to get up every single day and learn something I didn't know yesterday"
Paul Harvey

and "The Rest Of The Story"

I am saddened and will miss his staccato voice punctuating my radio everyday.

The last honest newsman.
I heard that last night late and woke up the bride on account of it!

Jules, thank you for posting this. I am so sad, too. My dad is a devoted NPR listener and we always "shushed" to listen to "The Rest of the Story" which we all enjoyed even if we momentarily pouted about the shushing. He will be missed.

Wonderful post....! I thought it wouldn't be long after his wife passed last year. It always seems to happen that way, and they were so in love. What an amazing man.

He always had something interesting that you could garner from his program. We grew up with his stories on the radio...and learned too!

i sat staring at my computer screen typing out a blog about paul harvey. I was trying to find a way to tie in what Paul Harvey meant to me.

After reading your post, I went back and deleted the draft. There is no way I could write something as sitting this post.

Loved it, and Paul Harvey will be missed.

And now....you have...the RRRRest......of the story

I'mm Paul Harvey........Good Day

I feel like an idoit....I have never listened to him. It probably would have been better time spent than the time I spend listening to Howard Stern.

I used to love listening to Paul Harvey during the day, especially when I was out and about in the car, running my errands. He never ceased to make me smile.
