Margie (Pictures / Quotes)

Here are some pictures from the weekend. From our time at the hunting shack. It was fabulous to get out of town and into the depths of the woods. A bit too warm for this time of year...but it made for some lovely pictures and time to be surrounded by nature.

I believe that there is a subtle magnetism in Nature,
which, if we unconsciously
yield to it, will direct us aright.

Feels at each thread, and lives along the line.

Camouflage

Camouflage is a game we all like to play,
but our secrets are as surely revealed by what we
want to seem to be as by what we want to conceal.

Unfortunately, one of the downfalls of being so deep in the woods and the temps so warm is these little buggers. Getting the food out of the cooler for supper I thought I might go insane from the sheer number of mosquitoes on me. My hands were full of food and I was defenseless. I must have look ridiculous hustling across the porch doing the "get off me" mosquito dance.

If you think you are too small to be effective,

you have never been in bed with a mosquito.
~Betty Reese

It was a lovely weekend. I slept, and slept, and slept some more. I also finished an entire book. The kids played and hubby hunted (did you pick him out in the camouflage pic? Ahhh, go back and look!!!)

When Johnny Cash was a boy on the farm, his dad told him that there were two things God loved more than anything else: bus and rocks, 'cause He sure made a lot of them!
Cheers!

Loverly! Loved the quotes...what book did you finish? Do I want to read it too?

Vodka - yes, that is my husband bear hunting

Julochka - oh hello, come in have a seat, and a drink. Glad you are here. Ummm, spiders amaze me and annoy me at the same time. I had more webs in my face while driving the four wheeler than I care to mention.

Sandra - me too!

Will B.- Hello there, welcome. How are you today? Glad you stopped by. Johnny Cash huh? Well I am sure that had a little to do with his bouts of excessive drinking ;) but there sure are a lot of rocks aren't there?

Queen - how about spider pics?

Debra - it was called Just Breathe and it is written by Susan Wiggs. It was very good. I tried to start it earlier in the summer and had a hard time focusing. But, really enjoyed it this time. Seems romance movie like.
