Fooled by Beauty

Can you guess what this beautiful image is? A flower, or the scales of a sea creature?
Oh, how we can be fooled by beauty. What looks so beautiful isn't always.

What you are looking at causes the human body one of the worst pains possible
(and I can say with great certainty that it is ALMOST more painful then labor pains)

It is an image of a kidney stone.
Need I say more?
I have been a long time sufferer of kidney stones. So much so that they have called it "chronic"

My #3 wee one was only a couple of months old the first time I had my first stone. In the year 2006 I had 14 surgical procedures for them and countless other appointments and tests, x-rays etc. At one point I produced a stone the size of my thumb print in 10 months time. yikes!

If you recall I went in this last December 22 after a years break. Making my Christmas prep that much harder! I posted here and here.
Lucky me, I made it two months and one day before having to go back in.

I am on a morphine hangover right now. There fore I doubt much of this makes any sense..... as my head is spinning and it is only met by my stomach doing the same thing.

I am going to go lay back down. I will successfully ignore the clothes piles from last night and this a.m., the dishes will not even get a second look and Scooby-Doo will have to serve as a babysitter right now. If you need me, I will be lump under the white down comforter...

Ouch... what causes kidney stones?? A lady at work just came back from dealing with the same problem. God I hope I never have to deal with that... sounds painful! Hang in there!

Bummer, Jules. I hope you're feeling better soon. Did this happen in Grand Forks or right as you got back?

Thanks to all. After 6 years of this stuff you would think that either we would figure out the problem or it wouldn't bother me anymore. I have become quite a bit more tolerant to it, but still no root cause yet... I guess it isn't like a mole that one can just overlook now is it. sigh

I finally get around to reading your blog and find out that you have been literally misurable... That makes me feel well, wee small. I so wish to be your "neighbor" so that I can grab a kid or two and give you a needed break, bring over a pot of soup, or fold your clothes and scrub your floors. You know that I would do all these things for you. Prayers....that is all I can do for you right now. For what it is worth...offer it up my dear Julie. Love you friend! Ronda

Oh dear Ronda how I miss you. Why all the dearest people in my life live far away is a wonder to me.... sigh.

Well, thank you for the prayers, there are a lot to be said about them too.
