Tell me a story - Round 2

Look my town made #1
odd attractions
Go figure!
It is time to play- Tell me a story.

We played this awhile back. It was a lot of fun, and seems like a fabulous thing to do for a Monday. Also this week I will start another Ask Jules- I have questions slowly trickling in from the last time that are still unanswered. So, it is time to get creative.
(and to start thinking of your questions for Ask Jules.)

Alright - here is the game.

I start the story with a sentence. Then the first person that comments continues the story- taking it in what ever direction they desire. Ending after about four sentences.

You do not complete the story - you just continue it. Then the next person to come along and comment picks up the story where it has been left off and keeps telling the story (again in which ever crazy direction you want).... so forth and so on.

Here is the start of the adventure story:

Daniel gave a polite cough. It didn’t attract the attention he wanted. He cleared his throat, took a deep breath and reached for the bell. It was now or never. The ferry left in 35 minutes. He needed to get his ....

Yes, julochka- this set is edited....

Tell me a Story (Yes, You)

There is a game from my past. It was always good for a laugh or two. I thought on yet another grey (googgle, I will spell gray as grey if I want to ....) day that we could play today - all of you and me. It might still be good for a giggle or two still.

Alright - here is the game.

I start the story with a sentence. Then the first person that comments continues the story taking it in what ever direction they desire. Ending after a few sentences.

You do not complete the story - you just continue it. Then the next person to come along and comment picks up the story where it has been left off and keeps telling the story (again in which ever crazy direction you want).... so forth and so on.

Then today (Wednesday) I will finish the story by posting everyone's comments together and ending it. Then you can check back tomorrow for the finished product. Or if you are sitting in your pajamas and slippers drinking tea/lattes and ignoring work while you blog all day then follow the progress through out the day.

If you think you can up with something better, then do something about it. Don't just grumble get those fingers walking and leave a comment to take the story in the direction you want...

Got it? Ok good - Here are the starting sentences:

The e-mail on her Blackberry (that's for you Adam) had arrived just as Jasmine was slipping on her favorite jacket. It was the news she had been waiting for. Without a second thought she headed straight for the airfield.

As Jasmine settled down for the long journey ahead she thought of the contents of the e-mail. A fantastic mystery. You will not believe it !" the voice had said. Jasmine wasn't sure what lay ahead for her when she arrived at the island. The next few hours would soon tell ................

The End of a Story

The world is a sadder place this morning. Paul Harvey has passed away.
If you don't know who Paul Harvey was, then you must have never turned on a radio.

Paul Harvey was a steadfast in my life. Listening to him is part of my earliest memories (or actually getting in trouble for not being quiet so my parents could listen)

Paul Harvey is such a steadfast in this area, that listening to The Rest Of The Story was a legitimate excuse for being a few minutes late back to work from lunch.

He will be missed.

"I just can't wait to get up every single day and learn something I didn't know yesterday"

and "The Rest Of The Story"

I am saddened and will miss his staccato voice punctuating my radio everyday.
