19 Minutes from Jodi Picoult
I don't normally suggest books because I don't feel my taste in books is the same as others. However, this book is different. Ms. Picoult takes you into the heart of a school killer, yet she leaves you wondering who was to blame, the killer-or the victims?

I really enjoy her books and thought this was a good one. It does help you look at all sides of the matter and realize its not black and white as to where fault lies...
Having gone to school for education and having a husband who is a High School teacher, I never thought I would see any other side then the evil of the student... but, that is how good of a job she does with this book!
Hi Julie :) That book is on my reading list. My daughter is reading it now and she is enjoying it. Very thought provoking.
Have a Happy Day!
This was absolutely one of the most powerful books I've ever read.
I'm a teacher, and one of my colleagues and I were reading "Nineteen Minutes" shortly after it came out. All of a sudden, the principal came on the announcements during lunchtime (Krystin and I were both reading the book while we ate) and said in a deadly serious voice, "All teachers need to check their e-mail immediately. I repeat, all teachers need to check their e-mail immediately."
I think that might have been the most scared I've ever been in my seven years of teaching. Fortunately, the announcement had nothing to do with school violence. I was so freaked out, though!
eke! but i bet it is a fascinating read. i think i might just get it.
I was a bullied child. I don't understand the killing, but I understand the helpless rage. I will read the book.
that was my senior year in high school. i was key note speaker at baccalaureate that year. I spoke about during my speech. If I can find it, I will post it.
In one short paragraph you have sold this book to me as a must read. I am going to see if I can get a copy of this book. I am taking a week from work soon, perfect opportunity to read it.
