To start - If you are looking for a little more content, something worth reading - hit this post from Saturday. If you want mindless content - continue on --->
Today is our last hurrah of summer. I will be taking the kids to the Science Center (they saved up their extra coins all summer long to go) . From there we will go to the local pottery painting shop - Glazed and Amused. Plus, as an extra special treat (for my kids at least) I will take them out to lunch in between each place.
From there we have a few school supplies to pick up and groceries - always groceries. If only we didn't have to eat... what a time saver that would be! Come on, you've thought it.
Anyway. I can't believe that it is already the end of summer, a summer that wasn't. Cold weather, over cast skies and endless drizzle made it miserable. I hope Fall makes up for the last several months.
I really don't have much to say- so I will stop. Just an update really. Plus, a chance to say I am happy for school to start - I need the schedule, and the kids are ready. But, I always have a twinge of sadness.
you're not alone in wanting summer to end. Schedules are a good thing, even if it means waking up a little earlier! Love the name of the pottery place. I need to go back, we've broken many salad bowls over the last few months... think that's a sign??
Amen sister, amen. Sadness and schedule craving all rolled in together. Happy school year! We still have a week left :) Great to see you show up on my blog!
Jules - It always seems a bit melancholy when the seasons change yet, we are creatures of habit, or at least I am. I need cycles, and I look forward to each part of my cycle. (except m period of course, but that's for another day!
Back to school is always bittersweet...so glad they are going back and a schedule can resume, and still longing for more structure-free and carefree days.
The weather was strange this summer...It is now becoming beautiful and sunny in California. October is always the pretties month of the year here, fall is beginning but we have warm and windy days...so beautiful. I hope Minnesota brings you good weather this fall :D
Enjoy the last hurrah!
most beautiful, October :D
Sometimes I type too fast and can't spell...LOL
ahhh back to school... music to a mothers ears :)
enjoy your last day of the holidays. Looks like you have a busy day planned.
What a fun day! You have great ideas missy. I'm sure the kids will remember it as a great summer. Mwaah!
What's @ the local pottery store in Bemidji? Can you make and take? Do they teach classes? I should look for a website -- wonder if they have one? Could be a fun outing --
