I look like a mom

Isn't it funny how a person dresses differently depending on where they are going and who will be there?

I am heading into the elementary school to present the Trans Atlantic Learning Adventure to my girly's class today. So, without thinking I picked out my outfit and set to straightening my hair and finding my sensible shoes.

I looked in the mirror and realized I soooo look like a mom.

vs

yesterday - shabby jeans with hole in the knee, biker grey tshirt and over worn grey hoodie sweater. When I did wear shoes it was an old pair of sandles. I was home for the day, and now that I think about it looking quite shabby! So, off I go- playing the role of Mom - looking the part.

I need your opinion - looking at this pic, I think I need some bangs again? What do you think? Would that be too mom like of me ;)

If you haven't been over to TALA you should pop over today - we went on a sculpture walk with "Buller" last night, and Sabin's mom has explained what it is to be a Queen in Denmark, (and that if you aren't crown prince you tend to be a creep :) -- go now!

You look wonderful! I love yellow. Looks good on you! And I'd say NO to the bangs, but that's just me. I've never been a fan of bangs. :P But if you decide in favor of them, again, I'm sure you'd look good in them!

I think you look cute! My best friend is always worrying about looking too "mom-ish" :)

As for bangs, I say yes! I'm a big bangs fan, and I'm actually getting a haircut Saturday and getting my bangs back... I'm like 2 months overdue, so they're definitely grown out, ick. Kinda the way it goes on a college budget ;)

You look great, like a nice respectable person with kids!:o)
Yes to the bangs... I did it a while ago and now wonder why I let them grow out in the first place!!! Good luck with the class presentation.

No to the bangs! YOU HAVE A GORGEOUS FACE, REVEL IN THE BEAUTY OF YOUR YOUTH! SHOW OFF THAT LUMINOUS SKIN! Now that I've cast my vote on the haircut, I'll move on to the outfit; totally appropriate for visiting the occasion? Did girly give you the stamp of approval? Mine had definate opinions about fashion choices! Ha! I have a fuscia silk vest just like your yellow one (A JJill sale special) It is a favorite. Thanks for the prod to visit TALA this morning. What a fun trip. Was fun playing hide and seek. Lots of hugs and kisses for you.

You look great. I should look so good. I say yes to bangs, but not blunt cut.

After looking at you, I really know I look like a bag lady. : (

you look delightful. I dunno about the bangs though, I think you'll be a hot momma either way!

Well, I'm not a mom but I am a mistress of disguises. If I don't intentionally try to dress older (for jobs or other "I-Need-To-Be-Taken-Seriously" things), I am without fail, mistaken for a middle school student. I know, I know. How nice for me when I get old. But it's annoying. Having to dress differently to be accepted is annoying. But I'm just annoyed right now so don't mind me. You look lovely in your outfit (as I'm sure you did yesterday as well) and I'm anxious to hear how your presentation to the kids goes. And bangs would be cute. : )

Awww, you look cute. When my sister used to live in LA and I would occasionally go on auditions with her, she always used to wear a little sweater set and khakis because apparently in TV Land, that is what moms wear in order to land television commercials.

I like your little vest much better. Hope you have a great day.

you look great, yes "mom" like, but more like one of those "hot" moms just covering it up today for school, that's a good thing.... as far as bangs, i'm not big on bangs, and i kinda like how your hair swags over your face... (is that a word swag??)
anyways, good luck :)

Love the Mom outfit! Not as comfortable as torn knee jeans but as you say, need to look the part once in awhile. Does look good on you though. I can't wear bangs, they look awful on me but I think you could pull it off quite well.

You look great! I vote no to bangs! I always regret them when I cut and it takes forever to get them grown out again!

Thats too funny, I am trying to let mine grow again :) Very mom-like but in a chic and casual way!

You look adorable!
I haven't seen you with bangs so can't say which I'd prefer. How will you feel most comfortable? Go with that.

Nope - you look like a 'cool' mom to me. It's when the kids are teenagers that no matter what we say, do or look like...we are still an embarassment to them! Ha ha! Love the teenage years! What ever makes you feel good - bangs or no bangs! :-)

You're gorgeous. But the only way you could've possibly looked "more" like a mom is if you put your hair up in tidy pony tail.
