Toil

As I get ready for our first Sport Show this coming weekend I needed an extra kick in the pants....

"The highest reward for a man's toil is not what he gets for it but what he becomes by it"
John Ruskin

p.s. anything strike YOU as interesting in this photo?

Ah sorry - of course
We own a dock and boat lift company. We attend a few "sport shows" to try to beef up sales etc. It is like a trade show type thing. Stand around on a cement floor in an arena(this is actually the hockey arena)with your booth toting your wears.

Our wears happen to fill a 30 foot triple axle trailer.... but, you get the idea. I will see if I have a pic to post...

Anyway, so the first one is a "Summer Fun" sale and it is this weekend in the great city of Grand Forks, ND.

What a great quote! I've never read it before. Thanks so much for highlighting it. I have a ton of work (i.e., Toil) awaiting my attention and it lightens my load a bit to know that it'll have hidden rewards. :)
xo
Warmly,
Tracey

I would have to say that a woman's work is NEVER done!!

Do you have a number for that woman? I could use some help here.

I've been wanting to read Ruskin for a while and this quote motivates me even more.

You can never go wrong with a quote off from the Celestial Seasonings box ;)

However, the actual works of Ruskin would probably serve better.
